I've just gotten word that NASCAR driver Patrick Carpentier will be in the peleton tomorrow night and yes, riding a bicycle.
The New Zealand Junior National road team will be making a guest appearance featuring the following riders:

The New Zealand Junior National road team will be making a guest appearance featuring the following riders:
- Hamish Schreurs (2nd place 2010 (U17) Australian road championships, 2nd place 2011 (U19) Australian road championships.
- Tom Nicholson
- George Hubbard
- James Oram
- Dion Smith
David Maltais, who was part of Jean-Francois Laroche's winning team in 2010, will make his first appearance of 2011 after cycling across Canada
Olympic medal winning kayaker Caroline Brunet will also be participating in the women's race
